A tale about this statue is that, long time ago, there was an outbreak of conjunctivitis, so Villagers came to pray to the statue and they placed gold sheets on the eyes of the statue as a gift. As a result, the abbot of the temple has to wear the statue with the sunglasses to prevent villagers from placing gold sheets at the eyes.

The Dolphin viewpoint is located at the Machanu Shrine on the Mahachai estuary.
