The endeavour to develop the Nong Chet Sen, Monkey Cheek water retention area, inspired by royal initiative, is situated in Hua Phai Subdistrict, adjacent to the Asia Road heading to the city of Ang Thong. Spanning across a vast expanse of 539,200 square metres, this project is a tribute to the royal benevolence of King Rama IX, bestowed to alleviate natural disasters and provide water for consumption, agriculture, and animal husbandry, while nurturing aquatic life and providing habitat for various bird species. It stands as a commemoration of the auspicious occasion of His Majesty's 84th Birthday Anniversary.
Ang Thong Province has transformed Nong Chet Sen into a 115-year Paradise Park, celebrating the royal jubilee. The landscape has been reimagined into a whimsical garden of fantasy: Magic Fantasy Park. Here, wonders of flora are showcased as artistic creations upon land, water, and sky, featuring tropical wetland plant species, a fantasy flower garden, an international lotus garden, water art, and diverse vegetable gardens.
Open daily 08.30-16.30 hrs.
