The market sells local products from Prachin Buri and other provinces. It is a stop for tourists who use highway number 33 km. 151 with destinations to various places.
Located at Tambon Khok Mai Lai, is a middleman trading market of local products and souvenirs from Prachin Buri and other provinces. Thus, it is a rest area for travellers who pass Highway No. 33 at Km. 151. Most of the products are from Prachin Buri; such as, seasonal fruits, durian, santol, mangosteen, pomelo, Mafai (baccaurea ramiflora), and Phai Tong bamboo shoot, which are now available all through the year because Prachin Buri is one of the provinces which grow lots of Phai Tong bamboo with good qualities: big size, and sweet. They can be cooked as a main dish or dessert deliciously. Other transformed products are on sale; for example, fruit jam, fermented bamboo shoots, preserved fruits, durian chip, and jackfruit chip. In addition, vendors offer products from other provinces during the non-fruiting season of Prachin Buri; therefore, the products are various in different seasons. Visitors can stop by to eat on the way of their trips or to bring back home. The market opens daily from morning to evening. To get there: from Bangkok toward Nakhon Nayok downtown, take Highway No. 33 to the direction of Prachin Buri. Drive from the junction of downtown Nakhon Nayok for about 14 km. At Km. 151, Nong Cha-om Market is located on the right hand. Make a u-turn to stop by.
