📍Volcanic Basalt Columns
Located in Tambon Sadao, the Volcanic Basalt Columns were discovered accidentally during the village's water storage pond construction. This led to the discovery of a large and complete source of basalt columns with layered rock patterns. These basalt columns are formed from igneous rocks that split into long pillars, resembling columns arranged parallel to each other. Each column has a polygonal cross-section, formed by the cooling and solidification of magma or lava. During the cooling process, contraction occurs, creating cracks in the shape of columns as seen today.
