Dentist MiYu—Charinya Kanchanasevee from Thailand is now the proud owner of Guinness World Record - Fastest Marathon Dressed in Traditional Thai Dress after she raced in the full marathon on April 23 in London, UK, covering the whole distance of almost 42.195 kilometres, all in Thai costume.  

MiYu, an avid runner, wore a beautiful ensemble of traditional Thai dress and a full set of accessories designed by Akarat Neramitsilp, whose designs appeared in many international beauty contests. 

This Guinness World Record was made in an attempt to boost traditional Thai fashion, which is considered Thai soft power, onto the world stage, with a spotlight shining on Thailand's sports and wellness tourism.
