Part of the Farm Festival on the Hill by Singha (Nov-13-17), this new event in Thailand is set to attract over 500 adventure and nature lovers from all over the country.
"This kind of race is not about winning, it is more about fun, teamwork and camaraderie and friendship" explains Serge Henkens, the organizer.
"This kind of mud and obstacle races is growing very fast in popularity around the world and Singha wanted to be the first to bring such event in Thailand" continues Henkens.

What is an Obstacle Race?
Obstacle racing is a sport in which a competitor, traveling on foot, must overcome various physical challenges (obstacles). They combine mud and trail runs. Obstacles include, but are not limited to, climbing over walls, carrying heavy objects, traversing bodies of water (but not swimming), crawling under nets or through drainage pipes. Many obstacles are similar to those used in military training, whilst others are unique to obstacle racing, and are employed throughout the course to test endurance, strength, speed and dexterity. Races vary in both distance and challenge level, combining trail running and cross country running.

The course is a 7km lap and includes 10 obstacles
Solo: 7km ( 1 lap-10 obstacles)
Solo: 14km (2 laps-20 obstacles)
Teams: 35km (5 laps- 50 obstacles) Team consists of 5 runners. Each of the 5 laps must be completed by 2 runners from the team. It is totally up to the team to decide which 2 runner will complete each lap. (E.g. a same runner can run the five laps as long a 2 runners from the team are running together)
