Picturesque Sunset Cruise in the Andaman Sea

Krabi's coastal paradise is stunning. Drifting into the Andaman Sea to hunt for picturesque islets and Krabi’s towering reddish limestone cliffs give a big contrast to the adjacent white sandy beach and bluish water. Swaying palm leaves and warm weather makes Krabi a real summer paradise perfect to hide out.

One of the best ways to know Krabi's sea is cruising. Get on board, and you can witness the sea from different views. A few hundred yards off the coast, you will be stunned by the gigantic size of Phra Nang Cave and the enormous limestone cliffs that fantastically characterize the coast.

Seen directly out from Ao Nang Beach, Koh Poda and nearby smaller islets are striking with a curved sandbank wrapped around a little lagoon. The tidal currents change the sandbank's shape and size every day. On any given day, the sandbank shows up and allows sea lovers to take a rest right on it.

If you find Koh Poda too crowded, sneak out to the peaceful Koh Pak Bia may be a better idea. Adorned with scattering islets, Koh Pak Bia and around offers an excellent viewpoint and serene beaches where you can enjoy swimming or feeding local fish.

Get through the narrow channel of Koh Hong and you will find yourself in a hidden lagoon inside. The island welcomes visitors with a tranquil atmosphere and variety of birds, including the hornbill.

Linger around Krabi's studded seascape until the evening and allow yourself to be enchanted by the excellent sunset view. This is the real face of Krabi.

How to get there: Krabi is 485 miles south of Bangkok via highway 4. Many local airlines offer daily services between Bangkok and Krabi.

There are various cruise operators and programs to choose from. Some programs include BBQ dinner and refreshments.
