Ban Pang Ha is located in the lush north of Thailand, just a short drive from the bustling Thailand-Myanmar border crossing. The village is modestly located in the Mae Sai District of Chiang Rai and is inviting and peaceful. You will definitely love the easy life there. In fact, many travelers fall in love with this simple village more than the busy border market.

Ban Pang Ha offers a unique homestay experience. Spend a few days here among rural lifestyle of the north. The homestay service allows visitors to spend an easy day, exploring the rural lifestyle among plantations, looking for yummy local cuisine or visiting various family-run businesses.

The paper factory is one of the most popular sights. The factory has been open for more than 20 years and can be visited in public. Students and interested tourists can try making their own paper with their own hands. They can design their own papers and even take them back home after class.

Ban Pang Ha is also a production base of facial masks made by golden silk. A number of silkworms are kept for certain silk filaments which is used to make facial masks under the brand “Ceilk”. The natural-based face mask helps remove dead skin cells and inhibits the degeneration of unhealthy skin cells.

Explore the local factories, which include jade carving, blacksmith, tobacco curing barns, as well as candle factory. You will be amazed by the artful community.

Spend a night in Ban Pang Ha and you may fall in love with the easy going life in northern Thailand.
