If you want to get away from busy Hua Hin, the peaceful Kui Buri District may be an interesting choice. The quiet retreat amazes you with wildlife and untouched nature, worthwhile your two-day visit

Just an hour drive south of Hua Hin’s hustle and bustle, the peaceful district of Kui Buri National Park is home to abundance of wildlife. Thank to continually conservation project, the park is known to be among the best places in Thailand to spot wild elephants and relatively good chance to spot gaurs. Both are often spot in big herds, particularly in the evening.

Join safari tour organized by the park, you will be guaranteed to get close to those huge creatures. It is estimated that there are some 300 wild elephants and 150 gaurs in the northern part of the park, where wildlife watching area was set up for visitors can see wildlife from a safe distance without interfering their daily routines.

Kui Buri has a wide range of beach resorts you can choose from. The sandy beach stretches miles long, and different from the famous Hua Hin, you will hardly spot the crowds here. This make it a great choice of peaceful retreat.

A short drive away, the adjacent Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park houses Phraya Nakhon Cave, one of the most mystical landmarks of the province. Under its natural hall, the cave houses a magnificent Thai traditional pavilion. When sun ray penetrates through a hole on the cave’s ceiling at noon, the pavilion is illuminated and glows in gold colour.

The quiet district of Kui Buri is simply rich with mystic and wilderness.  

 

How to get there : Kui Buri is 162 miles from Bangkok via highway 35 and 4. Admission fee for Kui Buri National Park is 200 baht each. The safari tour is 1,200 baht each for the group of 5 people. Rates vary to the number of tour members.
