Situated within an hour drive from Bangkok, the beach of Bang Sean in Chon Buri province is a prime weekend destination for city dwellers. Unlike bustling Pattaya, Bang Sean beach is filled up with a nostalgic vibe and laid-back atmosphere. Colorful beach beds line the coast, while kids giggle on tandem bikes. The beach houses many fine dining restaurants, too. Listed below are five nice places you can enjoy.


One of the first seafood restaurants in town, the legendary Pakarang is set right in the water among an excellent sea view and the little cape of Laem Tan, as well as impressive sunset view.

With a refreshing sea breeze, you can enjoy sumptuous seafood. Pakarang is famous for steamed squids, stir-fried squid with salted egg, and spicy Black-banded kingfish as well as wide selection of Thai seafood dishes. Call 038-191-802.

33 Seafood

Hidden in the compound of the 12th Anti-Aircraft Battalion, Sri Racha, the restaurant is among the best place to enjoy sunset scenery. Far from the bustling pier, the restaurant is set in a very peaceful atmosphere. Do not miss Som Tam with swimming crab, sun-dried fried squids, Tom Yum (spicy soup), and Tod Mun 33 or the fish cake made from fish, shrimp, and squid meat. Call 038-358-618.

Blue Fin Beach Bar & Restaurant

The comfort of open-aired terrace and sea breeze fill up this restaurant with charm. You can spend a leisurely evening here chilling out on Bang Sean's coast among scenery and music while waiting for the excellent view of the sunset. La Mer Bangsaen

Inspired by a yacht club, the beach café restaurant is a luxurious place to meet, particularly on its open-aired upper floor terrace where you can sip cocktails or imported beers while enjoying cozy sea breeze. Kroque Boutique and Bistro

Boutique style decoration, panoramic sea view, and superb vibe make it also a favorite place to take a picture. The restaurant serves various signature dishes such as Thai-style Foie Gras and grilled duck breast with fish sauce. Furthermore, it offers premium seafood buffet which comes with imported lobsters, Japanese crabs, Iceland oysters, New Zealand Green Mussels, as well as various local fresh seafood.
