Festive Feeling at Phuket Night Market

Filled with festive vibe, Phuket’s night markets simply interest shoppers with street performances and music. With great selection of local food and merchandises, exploring Phuket’s night market can be an impressive experience. Here are some of interesting night markets of the resort city.

The trendy night market of Chillva Market Phuket offers wide selection of food and fashion among the bohemian atmosphere. It is unique with shipping containers in bright colors which are adapted into outlets. Frankly, it is rather good for the locals than for tourists as most of the merchandises available mostly interest local teenagers, moreover, stage performance is conducted in Thai. The small market is on Yaowarat Road.

The biggest night market on the island is Phuket Weekend Market on Chao Fah West Road. The market is open from 3pm to 10.30 pm on weekend only. Merchandises on sale here range from tiny ornament, amulet, to home decorative items. Foodie people would love here as it has a huge food zone with great variety of local cuisine to choose from.

Set in a picturesque Phuket Old Town, Lad Yai or Phuket Walking Street is a set on a short road sandwiched by Sino-Portuguese style houses in sweet colors. Sunday evening, the sleepy road turns lively with local cuisine, handicrafts, and souvenir.

A unique one is Phuket Indy Market which is known among the locals as a place of secondhand goods. A number of chic items, as well as local snacks can be found here. It is situated in the Lime Light Shopping Mall, New Deebuk Road. The market opens on Wednesdays to Friday.

Stroll through Phuket’s night market, and get the glimpse of local fun.
