Every holidays, the peaceful city turns vibrant and lively with visitors. Nakhon Nayok is well known among city dwellers for its refreshing waterfalls. However, the province has many more to offer.

Picturesque scenery of Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam gives the province a new look.  The grand structure of the dam, 1.8 mile long and nearly 1,000 feet high, can make you stunned at the first glance. But once you climb up the dam wall, you will impressed by the scenery of vast waterscape. Initiated by the late King Bhumibol the dam was built to end the long suffering from the cycle of flood and drought. Its reservoir and around the dam are nice havens for ecotourism where visitors can cruise, windsurf, and kayak.

Pilgrim to Ganesha Park may add colors to your trip. The park houses two gigantic statues of Ganesha, 30 feet and 50 feet high respectively which are considered the largest ones in Thailand. Besides these two huge statues, and a Ganesha museum, the park is a venue of annual worship “Ganesha Chaturthi”.

The refreshing melon at P.Farm may showcase for fertile Nakhon Nayok is. The farm specializes in melon. It grows several variety of melon, as well as other tropical fruits and opens for public visit. Get a bite of sweet melon, melon som tam, ice cream, salad, as well as shop for various produces from the fruit, and you will love this little farm.
