An Ideal day trip to the turquoise water of Mu Koh Rang

Around 4 miles away west of Koh Mak, off the coast of Trat, Mu Koh Rang is an enchanting haven with crystal clear water and pristine beaches.

Get on boat to be soaked up with the relaxing atmosphere, you will find yourself among day trippers who seek an escape from the bustling beaches of Koh Chang. The boat trip to Mu Koh Rang leaves Bang Bao Bay south of Koh Chang every morning, making its way to the archipelago and offering a great opportunity to freely dive among tropical fishes and reefs.

As part of Mu Koh Chang Marine National Park, Mu Koh Rang consists of 12 islets of which inner hills are blanketed with jungle. Most of them are inhabited. When the boat floats above the emerald water, visitors hardly hesitate to put on their snorkel and dive into one of the most beautiful seascapes in the natural park.

In general, the boat trip cruises to Koh Yak, Koh Yak Lek, and Koh Rang where the park ranger’s station is located on. There are many scenic beaches with delicate sand around the island. The best one is at its southern tip, where a shrine is housed. Sometimes, the boat stops at Koh Wai, a charming small crescent-shaped island.

Get on the boat to Koh Rang, you may find an ideal haven hidden in the eastern edge of Thailand.
