Attraction Details

WatSuanKaeo is a center for the promotion of Buddhist practices and knowledge. Also at the location is the SuanKaeo Foundation, which hopes to improve the living standards of the poor and to help develop and improve society. An innovative monk named PhraPhisalDhammaPhati or PhraPhayomKanlayano has initiated several projects for the related SuanKaeo Foundation. Successful projects include the Rom Pho Kaeo, providing shelter for the elderly, a supermarket for the poor, and the SuanKaeo nursery projects.

WatSuanKaeo is located at Mu 1 Tambon Bang Lan, Amphoe Bang Yai, Nonthaburi . To get there, drive over Phra Nang Klao Bridge and turn left at the second intersection for 2 kilometers. Alternatively, take the No.63 bus from Bangkok’s Victory Monument.


The temple is open from 9.00 am-4.30 pm daily. For donations, tours, and more information, call 0 2595 1444.

How to get there

By Other

Cross Phra Nang Klao Bridge and go straight on to the second traffic light. Then turn left and carry on around 2 kms. to find the temple. Another option is to take the ferry from Nonthaburi Pier to Bang Sri Mueang Pier, then take the minibus to the temple. The fare rate is 8 Bath/person.
