Covering an area of 545 rai (218 acres), Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo is one of the finest animal park of Asia. Set in the large area, the zoo features several animals from Africa. The highlights are penguins, seals, African elephants, rhinoceros, cheetahs, lions, zebras, giraffes, including reptile building and hornbill garden. Apart from being an ideal place to study for wildlife biology, Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo is also a great place to relax and enjoy natural wonders such as colorful and decorated flowers. Shuttle bus service is provided for visitors for a zoo tour. Bicycle is available for rent as well.

Getting there:To reach the destination, Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo is is located approximately 18 kilometers from south of the city on Highway No. 304 (Nakhon Ratchasima-Pak Thong Chai) It is also accessible via Highway No. 2310 (approximately 1 kilometer by driving). Visitors can also take a bus No. 1415, available in the city.
drive along Highway 2 (Mittraphap Road) for 250 kilometers from Bangkok or only 19 kilometers from Nakhon Ratchasima. Then use Highway 304 (Nakhon ratchasima – Pak Thong Chai). Alternatively, catch a bus no. 4129 from downtown.
