Attraction Details

This Thai-style pavilion was built for King Rama VII, Thailand’s last absolute monarch, during his visit to watch an eclipse of the sun in 1929.Astronomers had predicted that Pattani would be an ideal location to view the full eclipse. The wooden pavilion has a traditional, layered and sloping orange tile roof.

The King Rama VII Pavilion is about 26 kilometers from Pattani town. Take Highway 42 heading southwest and continue onto Highway 409 to Khok Pho town. The pavilion is next to the Khok Pho District Office.
