Mu 7, Ban Nong Klang, Tambon Ban Mang, Amphoe Chiang Muan, Phayao
More than 130 million years ago, this area was home to Sauropods: immense four legged, long-necked herbivorous dinosaurs that roamed the land. The fossils of Sauropods uncovered at the Kaeng Luang Dinosaur Forest Park revealed that these prehistoric creatures were over 15 meters long, 30 meters high and weighed over 100 tons. Hints of present-day Homo Sapiens may also be observed in a much more recent of fossil, that of an ape, aged 15 million years old, an ancestor of modern-day humans.
The park is open daily from 8.00 am-5.00 pm, and is located at Mu 7, Ban Nong Klang, Tambon Ban Mang, Amphoe Chiang Muan, Phayao.
