Attraction Details

The plethora of attractions and activities in Doi Phu Nang National Park is well worth exploring. With a total area of over 740 square kilometers, there is no shortage of sights to see. Rolling mountain ranges covered in lush forests are home to a variety of fauna such as soft-shelled turtles, monitor lizards and peacocks. Waterfalls, white-water rapids, a reservoir and a canyon pepper the park.

Visitors are advised to visit in October-January due to the weather, though those hoping to catch the last flock of Thai green peafowls are recommended to visit in January-March during the beautiful birds’ breeding season. The National Park provides accommodation and tents for tourists.

To get there, take Highway No. 1021 to Amphoe Dok Khamtai for 15 kilometers. Turn right into Highway No. 1251, to the Dok Kham Tai – Chiang Muan route, for a distance of 45 kilometers. At Ban Bo Bia T-junction, turn right for 5 kilometers to the Office of the National Park.
