Baan Tha Kha is one of the villages located in Tha Kha Sub-District, Amphawa District, Samutsongkhram Province. The locals have established a homestay under the name of “Tha Kha Floating Marketing Homestay” which has received a certificate for passing standards from the Office of Tourism Development. The tourists will get a chance to taste local food and stay cozily with the locals as well as witnessing a gathering of the coconut sugar from the coconut trees and watching the locals braising the coconut sugar. Paddling through the garden, a firefly boat-trip in the night without any interruption of the engine noise, only the sound of the paddle touching the surface of the water and visiting the Tha Kha Floating Market on a specific day are some of the tourist attractions.

A homestay in Baan Tha Kha is not only used for residences but each house offers different attractions; for example, “Baan Suan Tal Ajarn Siri” provides detailed information on how to make coconut sugar, “Khun Taweep Homestay” has a collection of agricultural equipment and antique tools that not many people may have seen before such as a tool used for making a tobacco that people usually chewed with betel, rice-farming tools such as a manual threshing machine, a rice mortar and a big wooden bucket for delivering rice as well as other equipment for making coconut sugar such as toddy palm bamboo flask, toddy palm knife and a seal for a sugar product for each house.
