Trang province is famous for its breathtaking natural attractions especially a beautiful and unique island called Koh Muk with its attractive sight ‘Tham Morakot’ or Emerald Cave. 

Koh Muk is a big island of Trang province located in the Hat Chao Mai Marine National Park.  There are fisherman village, resorts, restaurant, motorcycle taxis, and rental motorcycles for visitors.  Visitors have to pass through a small passage that is accessible during low tide to Tham Morakot which is a large hall without roof with emerald sea and a clean white beach surrounded high cliffs. 

To fully absorb atmosphere around Koh Muk, it is recommended to have one night stay in the island.  Moreover, visitors can have a boat trip to go snorkeling at nearby islands such as Koh Ma, Koh Cheok, Koh Waen.

How to get there

By Car

Take Highway 403 from Trang city, then take Highway 4008 and take Highway 4162 until getting to the intersection, take civil road 2062 to Kuan Tung Ku pier, and take a boat to Koh Muk-Tham Morakot.

By Boat

Take a long tail boat from Pak Meng pier, Amphur Si Phao which takes about 40 minutes, or take a boat from Kuan Tung Ku pier which departs at 12.45 p.m. daily, and the boat departs from Koh Muk at 7 a.m.

By Other

To get to Ko Muk, tourists can take a boat from Pak Meng Pier in Amphoe Sikao for the 40-minute trip. The boat rent is around 2,000-3,000 baht/day. Accommodation is available on the island.
