Thai Government would like to notify that at present there are smuggling of import and export of ivory and ivory products including the import and export of wild animals without permission with the compliance of CITES's regulations. This illegal activities resulted in the crossing smuggle be arrested at international wildlife check point and international airports around the world. According to Thai law an import and export procession, hunting and trade of the wild animals are required the permission from the authority.Trafficker will received the purnishment of imprisonment up to 4 years or fine up to 40,000 baht or both. As the result, the Thai Government would like to request for the cooperation from Thai people and foreigner tourists to stop selling and buying illegal wild animals as well as the import and export of ivory which are also illegal.
