How do you find reasonable accommodations?
You can check the price for different accommodations from different websites or from your travel agent and select the place and the price that most suits you.
Many major hotel websites offer online reservations, though these are not always the lowest rates. Moreover, you can even make a phone call to hotels or reserve through local travel agents in the event you would like a specific recommendation.
What time can I check-in & check-out of the hotel?
Most hotels in Thailand fix their check-in at 14.00 and check-out time at 12.00 p.m. and some may vary up to 14.00 p.m. It is advisable to inform the hotel of your estimated time of arrival at the airport or the hotel in advance, especially if you think you may be early or late.
Are there other lodging choices?
Thailand accommodation services are not just limited to hotels and feature a wide range including: resorts, condominiums, apartments, home stays, guest houses, rental bungalows, and even camping in a small tent or one with army style cots!
How much can I expect to pay for lodging accommodations in Thailand?
There are different ranges of accommodation depending on the price range you are willing to spend. For the budget range may go as low as 100 B per day for a room in a dorm up to 1000 per day for a multi-bed private room. Whereas the luxurious hotels may start from 5000B ($150USD) and above depending on the venue you select. What is the room tax for Thailand Hotels?
Normally 10% service charge, 7% government vat and 1% provincial tax are added to the rental rate of hotel rooms. Unless specifically stated, these taxes are not included in the advertised rates of most mid and upper range hotels, whereas budget guesthouses are more likely to charge a fixed rate that includes those fees.
