Art, Culture & Heritage
Seniors will be enthralled with the displays of art, culture, and heritage available for viewing in Thailand. If museums interest you, start with Bangkok’s National Museum, which dates back to 1874. Other prominent national museums are located in Chiang Mai, as well as Phuket’s Thalang National Museum.
One really should not leave Thailand without at least seeing some elephants. The ideal place for this is the Thai Elephant Conservation Center, located between Chiang Mai and Lampang. If you wish to go a step further, one- to three-day courses are available there, where you can learn to be a certified mahout, or elephant handler. How many of your friends can claim this honor?
