Thais love and know nature and the outdoors to an often impressive degree, and they love sharing it with others.You may not be able to survive for a week if you were dropped into the middle of a forest or jungle, but many locals would have little difficulty doing so.

You won’t need to go this far to enjoy some excellent camping in Thailand, however.  A wise range of places – and comfort levels – are available; from very basic to delightfully luxurious.And of course many of these campgrounds and national parks are just what the frugal traveler is looking for.

Although some places require you to bring your own tent, many do not; be sure to check online or call to inquire before going.As usual, you’re well advised to bring your own supplies: food and water, pillows and sleeping bags, etc., to ensure maximum safety and comfort for you and your party.
