Places of Worship
As a predominately Buddhist country, Thailand has numerous Buddhist temples dating back nearly 1,000 years. There are also a number of Hindu temples from the Angkorian Era when parts of Thailand were occupied by neighboring Cambodia. Today, the compassionate Thai people are tolerant of all religious beliefs and as a consequence there are many fascinating places of worship built by people of all religious denominations.
