Wake Boarding

Fusing the sports of water skiing and snowboarding, wake boarding is a quickly growing activity both at the beach and on several man made reservoirs around Thailand. In the sea, wake boarders are towed behind a speedboat, much as water skiers are. On a pond or reservoir, a cable towing system is installed so that wake boarders are towed in a circular pattern around the water.

Much like skateboarding, wake boarding is best appreciated once a rider can master some tricks, in the wake boarder’s case, using the wake from the boat to jump into the air, spinning or kicking the wakeboard in various maneuvers.

Where to Run
The best place to exercise in Bangkok is Lumpini Park, and the best time is early morning. From 5 am til around 9 am each morning the park is filled with local residents exercising and enjoying the beauty of the park. There are large groups in different areas of the park doing martial arts and other classes that will welcome you into their exercise session, including a huge outdoor aerobics class that begins at 6 am. Joggers and runners will enjoy the 2.5 mile course that winds through the park, circling scenic lakes that house local giant water monitor lizards.
