Absailing/Rappelling, Bungy Jumping

Abseiling is a thrilling activity once simply reserved for rock climbers, spelunkers, and mountaineers who needed to get down steep inclines. Today, the rush of speeding down a dangerous cliff in a safety harness while clinging to a rope can be experienced by tourists to Thailand! Fun as that sounds, safety is a genuine concern, and as Thailand has many opportunities for abseiling, it is important to make sure that adequate safety equipment, including a helmet and proper shoes are provided and worn.

Bungee jumping is an extreme activity requiring even less ability than abseiling. Simply allow the proprietors to attach the enormous rubber band to your feet and jump from the platform, typically 165 feet (50m) above the ground. The bungee cords are designed to allow you to fall within a reasonable distance from the ground before bouncing you back into the air several times. It’s an extreme rush that those daring to attempt will never forget.

This activity is most popular in Phuket, between Patong and Phuket Town, Pattaya, and Koh Samui.

Where to Run
The best place to exercise in Bangkok is Lumpini Park, and the best time is early morning. From 5 am til around 9 am each morning the park is filled with local residents exercising and enjoying the beauty of the park. There are large groups in different areas of the park doing martial arts and other classes that will welcome you into their exercise session, including a huge outdoor aerobics class that begins at 6 am. Joggers and runners will enjoy the 2.5 mile course that winds through the park, circling scenic lakes that house local giant water monitor lizards.
