Farm & Wineries

Despite an exorbitant 400% tax on wine (the highest such tax in the world), Thailand has managed to foster an incipient Thai wine industry. The hills of Pak Chong, near Khao Yai National Park are the best location for growing grapes in this sub-tropical climate that allows for biannual harvests. Nearly 1 million bottles of Thai wine are now produced in Thailand, particularly red varietals that are meant to complement the spiciness of Thai food. Tours of Thai wine making vineyards are available year round.

Where to Run
The best place to exercise in Bangkok is Lumpini Park, and the best time is early morning. From 5 am til around 9 am each morning the park is filled with local residents exercising and enjoying the beauty of the park. There are large groups in different areas of the park doing martial arts and other classes that will welcome you into their exercise session, including a huge outdoor aerobics class that begins at 6 am. Joggers and runners will enjoy the 2.5 mile course that winds through the park, circling scenic lakes that house local giant water monitor lizards.
