Dusit transforms Children’s Futures
Dusit transforms Children’s Futures

Dusit International, one of Asia’s leading hotel groups, donates THB 1 million (USD 32,000) to provide surgery for children with facial deformities under Dusit Smiles for Operation Smile Thailand. The company’s first operation mission, which was held in Si Sa Ket, northeast of Thailand, was a successful event with the support from Dusit International’s hotels and resorts as well as its business units that have helped to raise donation from organising many charity activities throughout the year.

“Dusit Smiles for Operation Smile is our company-wide Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative with the objective to create smiles, change lives, and provide a better future for the children,” said Mr Chanin Donavanik, Chief Executive Officer, Dusit International.

“As an organisation, we realise that we are playing an important role in sharing and promoting the principles of CSR which are to behave responsibly to the society and to encourage our guests, business partners, and employees to follow the same value. By giving the opportunities to children to learn, to grow, and to live with good health and happiness, we hope that the Dusit Smiles programme will contribute to the well-being of the communities within which we operate,” said Dusit CEO.

"As Chairman for Operation Smile Thailand, mainly responsible for fundraising, it has been my honour to work with Dusit International and to see the dedication of the caring and compassionate professionals such as Mr Chanin and the entire Dusit team. Throughout the year Dusit has demonstrated great commitment to CSR, bringing more attention to children affected by cranial facial deformities in the country. We hope to see Dusit continue to leverage its motivation and commitment to help Operation Smile transform the lives of children in Thailand and around the world,” said Mr Kevin Beauvais, Chairman of Operation Smile Thailand.

Through its year to date activities and events, Dusit Smiles has raised over USD 32,000 for Operation Smile, a worldwide foundation that provides operations and medical missions to children with facial deformities, cleft lips, and cleft palates, across the world. The activities include in-room Dusit Smiles donation envelopes, donation boxes placed in all Dusit hotels and restaurants, charity auctions, salary donations, sports events, and much more.
