Transport Sa Kaeo
As the site of a major commercial trade border with Cambodia, Sa Kaeo is serviced by regular bus and train service from Bangkok. From other destinations it’s also fairly convenient to get to Sa Kaeo by bus or private car. Arriving in Thailand from Poipet in Cambodia, visitors are guaranteed to be greeted by touts offering rooms and transportation. The bus and train stations are not far from the border and offer the best rates for travel back to Bangkok and beyond.
The State Railways of Thailand provides service from Bangkok’s Hua Lumphong Station to Sa Kaeo and Aranyaprathet twice daily, leaving at 05:55 and 13:05 hrs. The fare is approximately 50 baht / person. For more details, please contact Travel Service Unit at Tel: 1690, 0 2223 7010, 0 2223 7020
1: From Bangkok, use Phahonyothin Road (Highway No.1) to Rangsit, and then take the overpass to Highway No.305, past Amphoe Ongkharak in Nakhon Nayok, and then take Highway No.33 through Amphoe Kabin Buri to Sa Kaeo. The total distance is 214 kilometers.
2: From Bangkok, use Highway No.1 to Hin Kong, and turn right onto Highway No.33, past Nakhon Nayok and Kabin Buri to Sa Kaeo. Total distance is 245 kilometers.
From Bangkok, use Highway No.304 through Min Buri and Chachoengsao to Amphoe Phanom Sarakham, turning right at 35th kilometer; then use Highway No. 304 to Kabin Buri. At kilometer 95, turn right again onto Highway No.33 to Sa Kaeo.
The Transport Co.,Ltd. provides both ordinary and air-conditioned bus service between Bangkok and Sa Kaeo. Busses leave from Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2) every day. For more details, please contact at Tel: 936-2852.
