4th Asian Beach Games 2014

Asian Beach Games is a multi-sport event held every two years by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The first Asian Beach Game took place in Bali, Indonesia, in 2008, the second one was in Muscat, Oman and the third one in Haiyang, People's Republic of China.
The 4th Asian Beach Games takes place in Phuket, Thailand from November 14 - 23, 2014. 26 sports are presented in the games including air sports, (paragliding/ power paragliding), aquatics (beach waterpolo/ marathon swimming), beach athletics, beach basketball, beach flag football, beach handball, beach kabaddi, beach modern pentathlon, beach sepaktakraw, beach soccer, beach volleyball, beach woodball, beach wrestling, body building, extreme sports (BMX/ inline skating/ skateboarding), footvolley, jetski sport, ju-jitsu, kurash, muaythai, petanque, sailing (sailing/ windsurfing), sambo, squash, triathlon (triathlon/ duathlon), and waterski (waterski/ cableski).
Patong and Karon beaches, in the west coast of Phuket, are the main competition venues. Visitors could enjoy watching a variety of sports while at the same time relaxing among the beautiful beaches and sceneries of Phuket Island.
