8 day 7 nights exploring the Eastern area of the Isan region

Join us as we indtroduce you to the wonderous region of Isan, North East Thailand. 

This tour features such amazing sites as Wat Phu Tok, Wat Prathat Phanom and the ancient civilization of Ban Chiang (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Day by Day Itinerary :

Day 1 : 09:00 - 19:00

Pick up service from Udon Thani airport, bus station, railway station or Nong Khai. Transfer to Nong Khai for your first stop. Over Night Nong Khai (3 nights).

Day 2 : 09:00 - 21:00

We start the day with a city and orientation tour leaving you plenty of time in the afternoon to explore on your own. We will visit Sala Keow Ku (sculpture park), Tas Sadet Market, Wat Pho Chai, Friendship Bridge, Aquarium and more...

Day 3 : 09:00 - 21:00

Free day to take an optional tour, rent bicycles or scooters, visit Sarnelli House an organization that helps orphaned children living with HIV or just relax in your Guest House for the day. Optional tours could include Phu Phra Bat Historical Park, Ba Na Kha (silk weaving village) or Wat Kham Chanote a mysterious forest temple.

Day 4 : 09:00 - 21:00

We say good bye to Nong Khai and head out for Bueng Khan to visit the amazing Wat Phu Tok (mountain temple). On the way we will visit the Mon Mai research station as well as a brief stop at Wat Ahong Siliwad (known as the "Navel of the Mekong"). The rest of the day will be spent visiting Wat Phu Tok as you discover this amazing structure known as the "Stairway to Heaven". Over Night in Bueng Kan

Day 5 : 09:00 - 21:00

We depart early for Nakhon Phanom for the next part of your journey. Here we will spend two days visiting this city famous for it's temples and Mekong scenery. Today we visit Wat Prathat Phanom a very famous temple and only one of a few designated as a Holy Shrine. The rest of the day is free, take in Golden Beach or one of the many parks situated around the city. Over Night Nakhon Phanom (2 nights).

Day 6 : 09:00 - 19:00

Today we will visit the historical Site at Ban Na Jok which has a model of the house Ho Chi Minh lived in during the Indochina War. We will take a trip out to the Friendship Bridge as well.

Day 7 : 09:00 - 21:00

After a leisurely morning we will depart for our last overnight stop, Sakon Nakhon. We head for Phu Phan National Park which acts as a natural border between Korat and Sakon Nakhon. Over Night Sakon Nakhon

Day 8 : 09:00 - 21:00

Today we have an early start on your last day of this tour. Before heading to Udon Thani (or Nong Khai) we visit the ancient civilization city of Ban Chiang (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Were you will discover the beginning of civilization, unique pottery and an insight into the origins of not only North East Thailand but of Laos and Khmer cultures as well
