Umphang Jungle Safaris
Tour Overview :
The small town of Umphang lies at the end of an only recently finished road, in the middle of beautiful mountainous jungle. Even by powerful pickup truck, the journey from Mae Sot to Umphang takes about three hours: no wonder this area has yet to be put of the tourist-map.
Umphang and surroundings are mainly inhabited by hill tribes like H’mong, Lisu and Karen. The comfortable, Umphang Hill Resort is beautifully located in a gorge, on the banks of a jungle stream. Without doubt, one of the highlights of a visit to Umphang is the Thilorzu, Thailand’s largest and most impressive waterfall.
