Introducing the amazing motorcycle tour in Northern Thailand, where we will take you all around the three ancient kingdoms, pass the unique highland vast panoramic view of Doi Inthanon, the highest peak of Thailand and the beautiful Mae Hong Son. Visit Pai, Chiang Dao, the charming Tha Ton, Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung Royal Villa and and the famous Golden Triangle, where three country borders meet: Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Then ride to the White Temple Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai. Ride the exhilarating, mountainous highway No. 1148 to Nan, ranked in the Top 10 as one of the most fun biking road to be found anywhere in the world. 120 kilometers of up and down curves through the impressive mountains providing you with pure riding pleasure. Ride along the unique panoramic views of border between Laos and Thailand. Cross the Sirikit dam reservoir on a wooden ferry and visit the world heritage Sukhothai Historical Park. Visit the mountainous scenery of unseen Khao Kho and Uttaradit. An unforgettable riding experience as we pass through natural, historical, traditional and cultural attractions.

Terms and Conditions :

LICENSES
All motorcycle riders must have a valid motorcycle license, and have had already the license for 4 years or more, and must be over 25 years old. The guest will be required to produce their original driver license and passport prior to commencing tour.

LIABILITY
Big Bike Tours make every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond our control. Passengers should note that motorcycle travel involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release is required by Big Bike Tours from all motorcycle riders and passengers before the tour commences. Big Bike Tours do not guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passengers connection to flights, trains etc. Big Bike Tours accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Provisional Tour booking requires a specific date, choice of motorcycle model, and minimum 10% deposit paid immediately. A deposit will be fully refunded for tour cancellations more than 30 days before the tour starts (excluding bank charges or any other costs incurred in the transfer).
A deposit is non refundable if the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before the starting date of the hire. The full hire fee is to be paid 14 days before the Tour start date, in order for the booking to be confirmed. If the guest does not commit to payment 14 days before Tour start date, the booking may be cancelled.

Big Bike Tours Tour Cancellations will incur the following charges:
30 Days to 15 Days 30% of Tour cost
14 Days to 8 Days 50% of Tour cost
7 Days or less 100% of Tour cost

TRAFFIC FINES
On completion of the tour, all speeding tickets, camera speeding fines, parking fines, or any other traffic will be paid by Big Bike Tours.

MOTORCYCLE SAFE RIDING CONDITIONS
Big Bike Tours wishes to maintain the highest standards of safety to ensure the well being of our guests. We therefore only ride the motorcycles in conditions where there is full visibility during daylight hours, and when vision is not impaired by heavy rain. Motorcycles may only be ridden from sunrise to sunset. Only in the case of late arrival may Big Bike Tours motorcycles be ridden, and at reduced speed to reach the next destination. When rainfall occurs speed must be reduced to a sensible safe wet road surface handling speed based on the rider skill, until the nearest shelter is reached.

ITINERY DISCLAIMER
Big Bike Tours itineraries may change as we make improvements to our tours. Our brochures are updated when tour itineraries change or the need arises. Big Bike Tours reserves the right to amend the tour route due to road works, weather conditions, or our new research information on routes. No refunds will be given due to any route change.

MOTORCYCLE PROTECTIVE GEAR
Big Bike Tours strongly recommends that all protective clothing be worn. Big Bike Tours provides all motorcycle protective gear. If you require any special size clothing it would be preferable to bring the protective clothing with you. In Thailand motorcycle helmets are compulsory, boots, protective clothing, and gloves for riders and passengers are strongly advised.

MEALS AND ALCOHOL
Big Bike Tours provide breakfast at the hotel, normally an international buffet and lunch & dinner at a restaurant during the day tour, normally Thai food. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please inform us when booking so we can make the appropriate arrangements for you. The Companion vehicle always carries cool bottled water and cool refresher towels. Snacks can be purchased during stops. Big Bike Tours do not provide any alcohol on Tour, and do not allow any alcohol consumption during the day while motorcycles are in use. Guests may consume alcohol in the evening when the motorcycles are not in use.

TOUR GROUP SIZE
Tour may commence with not less than 2 riders. An additional 100% must be paid for a single rider tour to commence.

TRANSFERS
Big Bike Tours will collect you from the airport, hotel, or your accommodation, at the beginning of the tour. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel, accommodation, or the airport.

FUEL
All fuel is supplied by Big Bike Tours.

DAMAGE OR TECHNICAL FAILURES
Any damage, mechanical or electrical failure on any Big Bike Tours motorcycle must be reported to the tour leader immediately. Included within the tour price is standard motorcycle damage insurance which covers you for incidental damages. You will be liable for the first 25,000 THB in any claim and in the event of a right off (never happened yet) you will be liable for 100,000 THB (Thai Baht) We do offer an upgrade to this insurance brining the liability down to 10,000 and 75,000 respectively if you wish to upgrade it (200 THB per bike and day). Please note this is only applicable to tours within Thailand.

CLOTHING AND THAI SEASONS
Casual clothing is used everywhere, except when visiting temples, where short pants and skirts are not traditionally acceptable. The 3 seasons in Thailand are winter, rainy season, and summer.
WINTER – from November to February, the days are warm, but evenings and mornings can be cool, and a light jersey may be used.
RAINY SEASON – from July to October, the days temperatures are hot, 21 to 30 deg. A rain coat is required.
SUMMER – from March to July, the days temperatures can be very hot, 33 to 38 deg.

Day by Day Itinerary :

Date 1 : Chiang Mai - Mae Sariang

Familiarize yourself with your bike on the highway ride heading south of Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon National Park, the highest peak in Thailand, 2.565 meter above sea level. Ride along the excellent winding mountain road through pine forest scenery. Visit Thailand’s finest waterfall, nature trails, Royal pagodas and botanical gardens. Descending to Mae Chaem for a relaxing lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, ride on, passing through pine forests until we reach Mae Sariang where you later enjoy your peaceful accommodation.

Date 2 : Mae Sariang - Pai

After breakfast, leave Mae Sariang to Mae Hong Son on narrow twisty curvy roads. In Khun Yuam we make a break and visit a World War II museum.  Visit the long-neck Karen tribe village near the border of Thailand and Myanmar. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, the first temple of Mae Hong Son on the hilltop. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Visit Lod cave, which means, “cave with stream running through”, on a bamboo raft. Then back on twisty curvy roads to Pai. Visit Tha Pai hot spring, where you can enjoy a mineral bath. Then we reach a charming accommodation with swimming pool.

Date 3 : Pai - Tha Ton

Before breakfast, in the very early morning you have a chance to offer food to the monks along the streets of Pai`s  local market. After breakfast, visit the Pai World War II Memorial Bridge. Back on winding mountainous roads to Mok Fah waterfall. Later we reach Chiang Dao, where we have a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit Chiang Dao cave. Then ride along fantastic mountain roads until we reach Tha Ton, where you will visit the Wat Tha Ton on top of the mountain and enjoy the amazing sunset there. Later you relax in your charming accommodation with a fantastic panoramic view.

Date 4 : Tha Ton - Golden Triangle

After breakfast, we leave Tha Ton to visit Doi Mae Salong, where Chinese mountain tea farmers live. Of course, you will test Thailand´s best tea there. Then back on curvy roads to Doi Tung Royal Villa. Visit the Winter Palace and the botanical garden. Lunch is served at the Royal’s Project restaurant. Continue along winding roads to Mae Sai, the northern most point of Thailand. Visit Wat Tham Pla where you can feed some food to wild monkeys. Reach the Golden Triangle to take a long-tail boat trip on the Mekong river and short visit a small village in Laos (no visa necessary). Visit the Opium museum before relaxing at your peaceful accommodation.

Date 5 : Golden Triangle - Nan

After breakfast, ride along a scenic farming areas road to Chiang Rai city. After that, visit the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) one of the top 10 wonder temples in the world. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Ride the exhilarating, mountainous highway No. 1148 to Nan, ranked in the Top 10 as one of the most fun biking road to be found anywhere in the world. 120 kilometers of up and down curves through the impressive mountains providing you with pure riding pleasure. Visit Wat Phra That Khao Noi (Nan hilltop scenic temple) before relaxing in your lovely accommodation and jump in the swimming pool. Later you will discover and enjoy Nan´s night-life.

Date 6 : Nan - Nan

Today we’re doing nothing at all. Relaxing on the pool or shopping in the town. Optionally you can ride the Bo Kluea Loop (193 kms.) on amazing roads to visit the Bo Kluea salt wells.

Date 7 : Nan - Sukhothai

After breakfast, we leave Nan riding through winding mountainous roads. We then take the motorbikes on a wooden ferry across the Sirikit dam reservoir. Sirikit dam is the largest earth dam in Thailand. It´s used for irrigation, fisheries, flood control and as well as hydro-electric power generation. Lunch is served at Sirikit dam. Then we continue on the highway passing through rice fields until we reach Sukhothai. Visit the Ancient Sukhothai Historical Park, designated world heritage site number 574 on 12 December 1991 by UNESCO and enjoy the amazing sunset in the old ruins. A magical and memorable scene. Later you arrive at the guest house, where you enjoy the charming accommodation.

Date 8 : Sukhothai - Khao Kho

After breakfast, we ride on one of the best roads to discover Thailand´s “little Switzerland”. Visit the Celadon temple before we reach Khao Kho. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Khao Kho is a district over 1.000 meters above sea level: Often with a misty, 360 degree panoramic view and refreshing weather the entire year (18 – 25 Celsius degree). Later you will enjoy and relax in your peaceful accommodation.

Date 9 : Khao Kho - Uttaradit

After breakfast, we visit Khao Kho Memorial Sacrifice monument and weapons museum. Between 1965 – 1984, this mountain area was the battle field of the Thai Communist Party and the Thai Royal Army. Then we continue downhill, cruising to Chat Trakan National Park waterfall. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Continue along winding roads until we reach unseen Uttaradit, where you can relax at the beautiful accommodation near the river.

Date 10 : Uttaradit - Chiang Mai

After breakfast, we leave Uttaradit cruising along the highway to Den Chai, we visit a large reclining Buddha. We continue riding through winding mountainous roads to Lampang. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. We visit the Thai Elephant Conservation Center and world´s first elephant hospital. We continue riding, passing through national parks and farming areas. Visit a local market, stopping for refreshment, before heading back to Chiang Mai.
