Attraction Details :
WatPhra Yuen PhutthabatYukhon’s feature attraction is its mondop, a religious structure, built in the northern Chiang Saen style with a lotus flower base. The mondop sits atop what is believed to be the Lord Buddha’s footprints, a sacred relic. Moreover, Sukhothai art influences can be clearly seen in temple’s bronze Buddha image, known as Luang Pho Phuttharangsi, over one and a half meters high, in the typical “Subduing Mara” posture, the soles of his feet visible.
The sacred Buddha image was previously enshrined in the mondop and covered entirely by cement. It was only later that the precious image was uncovered and relocated to the temple hall for public viewing and worship.
WatPhra Yuen PhutthabatYukhon is located 500 meters from WatphraBorommathatThung Yang,on the left side of the road near a junction, along Highway No. 102.
The temple is open from 6.00 am-5.00 pm daily.
