Attraction Details :
This is a temple for meditation practice according to the way of a revered Buddhist monk Luang ta Maha Bua. But Wat Pa Luangta Maha Bua Yannasampanno is better known as a free-range zoo home to various kinds of animals such as barking deer, deer, hog, gibbon, peafowl, red jungle fowl, horse, water buffalo, goat, for instance. But the highlights are tamed (and untamed) tigers, that greet visitors freely every day---the reason why this temple is called Wat Seua (Temple of Tigers) by the locals. These wildlife animals are not collected but they regarded this temple their habilitation sanctuary before going back to nature. This is unlike any other zoos or temples in the world, where monks live peacefully with wild animals.
