Attraction Details :
This temple was erected by the Mon ethnic minority group during the reign of King Rama II. At first it was called WatKwua, named after an auspicious tree similar to the golden shower tree. Inside the temple is a cultural hall holding a collection of Mon objets d’art. The temple is an important ceremonial venue of PathumThani locals for events such as Ok Hoi Pachu, Takhap Flag competition, and alms-giving ceremonies.
WatChankapho is in Tambon Bang Toei, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, 6 kilometers from City Hall. It is open from 8.00 am-5.00 pm daily.
