Wang Sangkawat Fish Park is located in the area of Wat Wai Neao, Wai Neao Sub-District. In the past, Wai Neao Sub-District is next to Mae Klong River. Local people cut trees and rafted to this area which had a lot of rattan forest. The rattan here was good and could tie logs very well. Local people therefore named this sub-district “Wai Neao Sub-District” (means durable rattan).

To visit the fish park, from Bangkok, use the Public Highway No. 323. At km. 92-93, the same entrance as Pong Tuk Archaeological site, turn right after Chantarubeksa Bridge along Mae Klong River for 3 kilometers. This park is the recreation area of general people. Visitors usually feed fish here. Carps can be seen during daytime. After 7 p.m., shark catfish will come which are very rare nowadays. Moreover, there is a folk museum in Wat Wai Neao opened daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
