King Bhumibhol is known for his mastery and talent in all sorts of artistry including music, lyrical composition, visual arts, or even literary art. His great ability and wisdom is unanimous and has been acknowledged and agreed by all Thai people and artists from all over the world. Therefore, the National Cultural Committee humbly acknowledged the King as ‘The Supreme Artist of Thailand’ on February 24th, 1986. The designation signifies the greatness and the superiority of the King’s unparallel artistry, and the Supreme Artist Hall takes after this designation of King Bhumibhol, the prodigy of all Thais.

The Supreme Artist Hall, situated in Klong Ha Sub district, Klong Luang District, Pathum Thani, was founded by the Ministry of Cultural Promotion, with the assistance of the Fine Arts Department, in B.E.2539 to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne. The building was constructed on a 5-Rai piece of land in contemporary Thai architectural style. The three-storey building has one management room, one temporary exhibition room, and five permanent exhibition rooms; two of which contains artistic and cultural achievements of the King, the other three shows those of Thai national artists, using up-to-date names such as video, computer graphics, CDs, duratan, dioramas, a sticker booth, and multi-vision slides.

The most important rooms are 3 supreme artists’ rooms which located on the second and the third floor. On the second floor, a movable wooden throne accessorized with mirrors is in the cente. Inside the throne is the miniature of the royal seal on a tray with a pedestal,
