Attraction Details :

Siriwatanawisut Temple owes its distinctive shape – the shape of a royal ship - to its being the first and only personal temple of Thai royal HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana. Ornamental details evoke the philosophy of dharma, and unique Chedis lend religious significance to the site. The Buddha Gaya Chedi and the Sri Maharaj Chedi are triple-layered chedis or stupas. The first is used for dharma practitioners and the second houses magnificent bronze statues of Thailand’s great kings. The third floor boasts a 12-meter pagoda, where religious relics – including some of the Lord Buddha’s bones- are said to be enshrined.

Buddha statues built to commemorate the royal family can also be found, including the bronze Metta Santipap (Mercy and Peace), built to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday, a testament to the Thai people’s love for their king.

To get there, take Highway No. 32, and while passing the In Buri intersection, keep left to use the elevated road to Amphoe Tak Fa. Turn left onto Highway No. 0058 and proceed for another 5 kilometers. Turn a final left turn to arrive at the temple.
