The zoo usually takes less than an hour drive from Bangkok, therefore it’s a popular sightseeing destination for both adults and children.
The highlights are the exciting Elephant Theme Show where the elephants are the stars of the show, they dance, compete, play football and games. Also “Yutha Hathi”, a great royal battle scene, is even performed with actors riding on the elephants. And another thrilling show is the Crocodile Wrestling Show where the crocodile and its catcher perform dangerous yet breathtaking stunts.
Accredited by CITES as “One of the cleanest and most impressive public displays of crocodiles in the world”, visitors will surely enjoy exploring the zoo ground.
Visitors can also romp around its tropical garden and waterfalls on the elephant’s back, visit the orchid nursery, or taste International cuisine and halal as well as Indian food anytime at the Erawan Restaurant.
By Car: A 30 km drive on Phetkasem Rd. to Sam Phran District.
By Bus: A bus number 123 from The Royal Grand Palace - Sam Phran Elephant Ground & Zooใ Or take Euro Bus No 84 from BTS-Krungthonburi station. The bus passes the main entrance.
