Located in Si Than Subdistrict, Phu Kradueng District, Loei, Phu Kradueng National Park is the second national park of Thailand. It features Phu Kradueng, a sandstone table-topped mountain whose hilltop plateau has a total area of 60 square kilometres.

The altitude of the park varies from 400 to around 1,200 metres. Khok Moei is the highest point with a height of 1,316 metres. The park is home to varieties of flora and fauna. It also features cliffs, grasslands, streams and waterfalls. In addition, it is where the headwater of the Nam Phong, one of the major rivers in the North East, is located.

The height, atmosphere and year-round cold weather of the park attract tourists who wish to conquer Phu Kradueng once in a lifetime to the park, particularly in the cold season, during which the temperature can drop to 0 ˚C.

For those who would like to stay overnight on Phu Kradueng’s top, feel free to contact the park in advance on 0 4281 0833 and 0 4281 0834 during office hours (8:00-16:30). Moreover, as a rule, an admission ticket must be bought before 13.30 and every day after 14:00, the park does not allow anybody to hike up the mountain. Additionally, the park provides tents for visitors and campsites for those who bring with them their own tents.    Furthermore, every year the park is open from 1 October to 31 May and closed from 1 June until 30 September.
