Attraction Details :
Wang Kan Lueang Waterfall Arboretum is located in Tha Din Dam Subdistrict, Chai Badan District, Lopburi, near Wang Kan Lueang Waterfall within the area of Chai Badan National Forest Reserve. It encompasses about 138 acres of land.
What is special about Wang Kan Lueang Waterfall is that the sources of the water are several springs found in a small stream. From the headwaters it meanders through jungle with a total distance of about one kilometre before draining into a lake called “Wang Wang”, where the watercourse is blocked by levels of limestone. Water then flows over the first level of blocking rocks and down many levels of limestone, creating an exquisite 20-metre wide year-round waterfall.
Although it is rather a small waterfall, its beauty does not pale in comparison to others’. Besides, it is surrounded by a number of small and huge shady trees. In addition, at the entrance of the trail to the fall are clusters of stalls selling, so to speak, almost everything you need including a wide range of food and refreshments, clothes, souvenirs and even swimming equipment. As a consequence, the waterfall is very popular among tourists.
Wang Kan Lueang Waterfall Arboretum features not only the fascinating waterfall but also Lopburi’s longest suspension bridge with a total length of 66 metres. It was built to provide passage between Chai Badan District and Tha Luang District over the waterfall.
How to get here: From Lopburi City, use Lopburi-Khok Samrong Road (Highway 1) and then turn onto Khok Samrong-Chai Badan Road (Highway 205). When you reach the intersection of Highway 205 and Highway 21, continue driving about 12 kilometres along the route to Tha Luang District. Then turn onto Highway 2089 and drive about seven kilometres along the road. Turn left onto a small road to the waterfall and the destination will be located on your right side.
