Attraction Details :
LIfe Balance Fitness Center, situated on beautiful Sam Roi Yod Beach and next to Dolphin Bay Resort, Thailand’s No. 1 Family Resort, is an open air “Fun”ctional Strength Training facility. What is “Fun”ctional Strength Training? Actually, the industry term is “functional strength training” meaning to train the body so that it functions as a whole, complete and in balance.
Strength and endurance is developed through whole body exercises as a base. Various routines using different types of resistance are designed to stimulate the body into becoming strong, agile and balanced. The result is a firmer, more toned body. Weight loss of excessive body fat and an increase in oxygen lung capacity and a stronger functioning heart. Lower blood pressure and lower blood cholesterol are also benefits of exercise.
So where does “FUN”ctional Strength Training come from? Our Idea here at Life Balance Fitness Center is that exercise should be FUN and enjoyable! If one looks at exercise as “work” then it becomes heavy, boring and a chore……. and most stop within a short period of time. The result is regaining any lost weight and gaining even more back, giving up and getting depressed, feeling hopeless…… BUT…. if you change your relationship to exercise, if you learn how to choose and create healthy meals and snacks, if you actually see and feel the difference in your efforts, if it is made to be “FUN”, then chances are, you’ll stick with it for life….. not as a chore, but as a new way of being.
How to get there :
Driving from Bangkok
Get on the expressway in the direction of Dao Khanong and cross Rama IX bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs to Samut Sakhon, passing Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram, and finally will reach a fork in the road – right to Ratchaburi, left to Phetchaburi. Go left and continue on to Phetchaburi.
When you reach Phetchaburi, there will be another fork – left into Phetchaburi town, and right to Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Take the right-hand road. After approx. another 30-40km, just before entering Cha-am, you’ll come to yet another fork.If you want to avoid the traffic and red lights in Cha-am and Hua Hin, continue on the right-hand side (the sign says Prachuap Khiri Khan). This is where the Cha-am-Pranburi bypass road begins. Note: Both routes are almost exactly equal in distance but the bypass is faster.Via Cha-am – Pranburi Bypass RoadVia Cha-am – Hua Hin Town (Phetchakasem Road)Follow Phetchakasem Road straight ahead through Cha-am and then straight on through Hua Hin towards Pranburi/Prachuap Khiri Khan. Approx. 20 km after HuaHin you'll come to an intersection where the by-pass road meets the road you are on. Continue going straight past this intersection. Drive through the first traffic light in front of Thanarat Army Camp, continue on past the Esso, Shell and Caltex petrol stations on the left, and then turn left at the second traffic light (a Tesco Lotus Superstore is on the corner).
After turning left at the light, follow that road to the end for approx. 3.7km - you will go over a railroad crossing, pass Pranburi Hospital and after going over a small bridge will end up at a T-junction. Turn right at the junction, and then immediately left at the little police station. From the police station, drive 16.5 km straight ahead towards the entrance to the park. After 16.5 km you'll see a Thai temple, Wat Phu Noi, on the right. Turn left down the little road opposite the temple and drive straight about 2 km until you come to the beach. Turn left on the beach road. Dolphin Bay Resort lies 60 meters ahead - it's easy to recognize by the two large swimming pools and big water slide! Parking is at the rear of the resort. Turn left onto the access road which runs along the far wall of the property and next to the property one block, you will see Life Balance Fitness Center.
