Attraction Details :

The Inburi National Museum lies within the temple grounds of Wat Bot on the bank Chaophraya River. It was established in 1940 by Phra Thepmoli, a high-ranking abbot of the temple. Originally, the museum was under the temple’s control and was later controlled by the Department of Fine Arts. Numerous excavated artifacts from the province’s ancient sites, including Ban Khu Mueang and Noi River sites are displayed here. These items are the part of the area’s historic and cultural identity. In addition, displays of insignia of the kingdom’s ecclesiasticle titles, Buddhist insignia fans, and Buddha images give the museum religious significance as well. Otherwise, beautiful Thai and Chinese ceramics, traditional Thai music instruments, folk theatre exhibits, loams and traditional fishing nets give interesting peeks into the lives of locals.

To get there, tak Highway 311 (Singburi-Inburi), the old route. The museum is located between km.14-15. Alternatively, there are two bus routes. Take the Singburi-Chainat bus (the old route) from the provincial bus terminal. Or take the Bangkok – Wat Sing Province bus from Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal or Mochit 2 Bus Terminal.

Admission fee is 50 Baht for non-Thai. The museum is open from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays. For more information, including advance bookings for guided group tours, call 03658 1986
