Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya was the capital of Thailand for 417 years. It enjoyed a long period of prosperity shown by the magnificent ruins at the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park. The extensive collection of ruins and records indicating the historical and cultural wealth of Ayutthaya earned this park recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To celebrate this status, the fair is organised annually and features light and sound shows of its glorious years, exhibitions of Ayutthaya as a World Heritage Site, culture performances. and beauty pageant contests.
