Unlike other waterfalls that are cold, Phu Sang is the only warm waterfall, if you do not count the other one in Krabi. For tourists making their way down cold chilly hills, spend an hour at the warm waterfall to enjoy a revitalizing break. Not only does this apply in winter, but you can also visit here at any time of the year.Phu Sang waterfall is located in the Phu Sang National Park. Although the waterfall is more than 100 kilometers away from Pa Yao, it is only a few tens of kilometers from Phu Chi Fa in Chiang Rai and the Doi Lanka forest park in Chiang Kam district. Therefore, the place can make a good stop after visiting the hills. A balmy temperature of 33 degrees Celsius gives a sense of sitting in a natural spa. Phu Sang waterfall is a 25-meter high, one-layer limestone cascade. The source of the water springs from just above the waterfall. The watercourse pours from limestone palisades down to the basin below. Not only is there an excellent waterfall view, but you can also enjoy the water that many find it to be warm and relaxing. There is a tourist information centre and the park’s cooperative store just opposite the waterfall, it is a great place to relax and have a picnic.

Just above the Phu Sang waterfall, there is a walking trail with a bamboo bridge to have a look at the permeating water that is the origin of the waterfall. It is a pond ten meters wide and four to five meters deep which a massive mouth of an underground hot spring. It is exceptional that there is no smell of sulfur. The area around the pond comprises a bog forest and a dry evergreen forest that is regarded as another interesting route to explore the nature.After swimming in the warm waterfall and admiring the nature by the permeating water, there is another interesting tourist attraction in the nation park called Pha Dang cave. It is situated at the Phu Sang ranger station number 1 (Pha Dang), Ban Pang Tam unit, Rom Yen sub district, Chiang Kam district. The distance between the ranger unit and the national park office is 47 kilometers, and only one kilometer away from the cave. The main features are that the cave’s depth is approximately 450 meters, and that there are several caverns embellished with magnificent stalagmites and stalactites. In front of the ranger station, there is also a great cliff, called Doi Pha Dam a beautiful natural architecture for admiring the scenery.
