Amphoe Pho Thale , Phichit
About 12 kilometers from the district town of Pho Tha-le, or 60 kilometers south of Phichit town, is a temple called Wat Bang Khlan. It was once the residence of a highly revered monk, the late Luang Pho Ngoen. After his passing, a statue of the monk was cast, and the public continues to pay their respects to this powerful religious symbol. The Chai Bowon Museum inside the temple houses collections of ancient items such as votive tablets, Buddha statues and earthenware.
This museum is open 8.00 am-5.00 pm. To get there, take Highway No.1067 and then turn left for 8 kilometers. For more information, call 0 5666 9111 or 08 9856 9192.
