Attraction Details

Thung Salaeng Luang National Park is a savannah grassland terrain with high mountainous ranges. The national park covers an area of 16 square kilometers and is covered in naturally endowed pine trees and wild flowers. Thung Salaeng Luang National Park is the watershed of streams that build the Nan River which spread across Phitsanulok and its neighboring province Phetchabun. The park is suitable for trekking and hiking and starts off at the sub office at Ban Nong Mae Na at the 100 km marker off Highway no. 12. The trail takes you to Khao Kho where you will find beautiful scenery and wild flowers that blossom during October to December. The flatland is accessible through a 16 km clay road or from the trail starting at Ban Nong Mae Na for a distance of 15 km and the Mae Na park office is superb for exploring the ecological system of the park. Visitors looking for excitement should try the whitewater rafting at Kaeng Wang Nam Yen, featuring a 50x100 meter wide rapid and is approximately 5 kilometers from Nong Mae Na park office.

Admission: The admission fee is 400 baht for adults and 200 baht for children. Visitors who wish to camp in the national park are required to make arrangements with the park officers in advance.
