The Shrine of King Naresuan the Great was built in 1961, located on the premise of Chan Palace, his birthplace and residence. King Naresuan the Great is highly respected by the Thai people as he was the one who command the troops to liberate Thailand from the Burmese occupation.
Getting there: The Shrine of King Naresuan the Great is located on the opposite side of the Nan River to the town. It can be reached by crossing the Naresuan Bridge from town, then turning right at the foot of the bridge. Turn left after 200 meters and drive for another 700 meters parallel to the Nan River.
